If you have to change parts of your exhaust, it's a good opportunity as people have mentioned to upgrade it to a better system.
There's nothing wrong with the stock BMW system, just there are better ones out there.
Perhaps even the
JCW one if you'd like to stick with manufacturer approved parts.
