I left Direct Line after 1 year of owning my
MCS. I was paying more for it than my Clio 172, just because I was honest about what I had all of which were on the car from when I picked it up from the dealer (so they were factory or dealer fitted). The side skirts were the killer and pushed my insurance up so much and the excess!! I changed to Greenlight at renewal time and they were great!! Saved me about £350 and are fine about mods.
Direct Line were great on my insurance for my 172 and insured me when most other companies wouldn't touch me (due to age), I was with them for 7 years and they were brilliant when I had my accident, but they are just not
mod or non standard friendly.
