I personally bought a September 06 Cooper as I didn't want a new model, yet. Let them iron out the niggles first, but I can virtually guarantee that my next car will be an R56. Once the styling has had time to sink in I think it will win most over.
As for anyone being surprised that this thread has appeared I don't understand why. Just because it's a MINI forum doesn't mean everyone has to like the R56 or stay silent if they don't. Forums are voicing opinions, having healthy discussion and debate and hopefully helping people with techy problems. So this thread has as much right to be here as any other. Oh and I can't see anyone using the word "crap" in any other post than yours
