After being shafted about mp3's on my current
MCS, I was determined to do a test to find out whether the R56's standard stereo would show the ID3 tags of mp3's on a cd.
At first, it didn't. However, after a lot of fiddling with buttons, I managed to get the filenames of the songs (not the tags), and managed to change folders.
Then by pressing some other button, (track), it did change to the ID3 tags. The horizontal buttons below the display in the speedo are the key to it. I did notice though that they didn't have any markings on them, whereas the pictures I've seen do show numbers on them etc. Instead, the button's actions were described on the display above.
Pointless information maybe, but it was important to me! Now I don't have to pay 200 quid to link up my ipod - just put in an mp3 cd.
