Was your vauxhall a signum by any chance? or was it the vectra (not sure if they did a 3.2L vectra or just 3L). I work at vauxhall in Ellesmere Port you see. We make the 5 door astra and the astra van

Yea the focus is definitly better on fuel. But like you say it is no where near the same class as the MINI. Not as fun, very boring, and it doesnt go around corners as fast
