If you have not spoken to a dealer to see if they will voluntarily fix the problem, I would hope that you do this BEFORE you sign a petition. Give MINI a chance. In jairfraz case, he has tried and met resistance. However, some dealers are better than others and will acknowledge that there is/was a problem. Call them, talk to them, and let them know that you are well advised of the American recall. If you are calm about it, they may just say "bring it in and we'll check it for you". After all, they really don't want to lose you as a customer. |
