the heftier items on the mini suspension are steel: front and rear wishbones, sway bars, shock bodies and springs, control arms. You might easily replace the rear control arms with aluminum and save a few pounds, but I would't risk it. Some of the other items could be made of aluminum to a certain extent, but at a huge engineering effort.
