Vandalism is the most annoying thing ever. Back in June, I was nearly reduced to tears (Yes I am a bloke!!!And it was either cry, or punch someone - and I didn't want to end up being prosecuted!) when some 7 year old kids decided to scratch my bonnet on a pub car-park (Yes I caught them doing it) whilst their parents were sat in the pub getting drunk and having a laugh.. The parents at the time said to let them know if I can't get the scratches out and if you have to get it sprayed, and gave me their mobile number - which rang out every time I tried it. After tracking them down via. people in the pub (Getting their home number and address) they are declining all responsibility for it now (Which they can - kids are younger than 10) and coming out with a whole loads of incorrect facts which I don't want to hear, including, they claim that they were outside supervising their kids (How come I fell over them walking out of the pub to see what the kids were doing to my MINI) and that they said they would only sort something out if I used their brother-in-law who is a qualified sprayer and would get the scratches out (Not a BMW/MINI approved sprayer, although he is probably as good, I wanted some comeback incase it went t*ts up etc).
I had to have my bonnet re-sprayed at a cost of £390. I paid this myself as I didn't want to claim on my insurance. I try not to think about it, as it still frustrates me.
Someone should start a campaign against these kind of idiots!
As they say, I know where they live!!!
Although I will not do anthing that will get me into trouble - that would mean they would win twice, and I'm not giving them that satisfaction. Even a contribution to the cost would be less of an insult!
Anyway, I'm going to have a good Christmas and stick two fingers up to these mindless fools
