Reverse selection on Getrag 5-speed 'box
If when you go to select reverse you feel resistance half way into the gear, don't force it in as you will get in inevitable 'crunch'. Instead, when you feel the resistance, hold the selector there and slowly release the clutch. You will feel a point around the bite where the gear just slides in without the need for selecting first and trying again. |
