| I wouldn't steer you away from a 2002 MINI. Especially if all the problems have been sorted out by the original owner already. There were a few teething problems with the first year MINIs. If you are seriously looking a purchasing a 2002 model, make sure it has the ECM program upgrades done and any other mechanical issues resolved. Check for any service bulletins and make sure they have been exedited.
Otherwise, you should have just as much fun driving an 02 MINI as you would any other MINI.
