 Speedo and Tacho stop working
I have a 2003 MCS with the factory satnav installed; my speedo and tacho are therefore above my steering wheel; the warranty ran-out 6 months ago! (That's the picture painted, so here is the problem...) After driving for a short while, the speedo and tacho both "pack-up"; they willl either "freeze" at the position they were at, or will go back to zero. If I happened to have the lights switched on at the time, the lamps within the pods will switch off also. Obviously there is a problem with the power getting to the clocks and lamps, so I am thinking that a multiplug is either loose, or something else is failing.  Flicking the clocks has got them working again, but a more general "shaking" is now required when it re-occurs!  Has anyone else experienced this problem? |
