One scratch is on the drivers side end panel the length of the passenger back window, the other two are on the boot either side of the MINI badge going horizontally across the boot. Luckily they don't look too deep but the marks are so big I don't know if I'm going to have to get it fixed professionally or if polish will help.

Why would someone do that? Because they are so jealous of my car that they have to wreck it??? It makes me so angry!

It was parked outside my friends house so there's no chance of finding out who did it, but if I ever did know who did it then they'd better run!! W*****s!!!!!

I need your help again guys!

I have 2 quotes - one from BMW Borehamwood, the other from an independent accident repair centre. The accident repair centre are quoting £325.55p, MINI are quoting £955.10p. I asked BMW what they are doing and they are taking badges off boot, taking off the drivers side rear wheel trim and the boot handle and the rear lights, taking off the drivers side wing mirror, then they are respraying the whole boot and a bit round the passengers side rear panel so it blends, then respraying the drivers side rear panel and the drivers door so it all blends.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture but the scratch is only over the rear wheelarch so why are they spraying my door too? Has anyone needed panels resprayed? Is a MINI different to other cars when respraying as I'm confused what BMW are doing?

I'm going to ask the independent garage what they are going to do as it seems a very large difference between prices.

MINI is £42 per hour labour, independent is £30 per hour.

MINI say it'll take 7 working days to do , independent garage say they'll need it overnight to make sure the paint blends correct.

Will the accident repair do as good a job as BMW? I knew BMW would be a lot but will there be 3 times difference in quality of repairs? I don't know what to do or whho to go with as I want my car to look like new!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Inga
