As noticed earlier this weekend:
New Thumbnail Transitions !! I was trying out some new ideas on MINI2.
One of the main changes people may have noticed is that attachment thumbnails, when clicked, no longer force new windows to open in most browsers, and will instead open in an overlay/pop-up window to fit the image.
The image can then be dragged around, closed etc.
If there are several attachments in a post, you can view them all in one go using the "slideshow" function (left and right arrow keys on your keyboard, or left and right arrows that appear over the image when you "mouse over").
The same effect will automatically be applied to links (thumbnails) to images posted in the MINI2 galleries.
I've added this not only because it looks quite cool, but because I genuinely think it increases usability, and makes looking at attachments in sequence much easier, without leaving the page of the post the images are attached to.
A similar effect has been applied to the news section, gallery and reviews. You'll also notice the same effect if "viewing all attachments" in a thread from the forum list (if you ever do this).
Please report any bugs or issues in this discussion thread.
Examples:
Attachments placed "inline" using the paperclip icon inthe editor:
