Taken from the rear of the car looking up towards the wheel arch. This trim is not very secure and I can get my hand between it and the metal - if I flick it it makes a noise just like a spring board at a swimming pool.

Should this be solid?

I also notice that the alloy type (suspension) struts are very visable on the car when looking at it from say 20ft - almost look out of place?

this (the large black part) looks like the piece of rear bumper trim that you can touch when scrubbing the alloys with a brush - we saying that this is flapping around or getting caught up with some of the suspension parts if the car is positioned in a certain way i.e. over a hump/ramp?
