Many thanks to all the organisers and folks who turned up. I know how much work goes into making these things happen - much more than when you think the line "Hang on, lads; I've got a great idea"
It was fantastic seeing all those Minis, classics and new, all in one place and the whole night and atmosphere was great, as were the band (even if they looked about 12), especially the guitarist (no not that one... I meant the lead) who surprised me by their great choices.
It was a great run, with all those folks waving, and the kids whose mum had let them out in their pyjamas to sit on the wall and wave, and all the lights flashing on the way back. Whilst we didn't hear much in the way of horns, I could swear I did hear a loud "quack quack" from somewhere...
Now my partner definitely wants a Mini. I told her she should look when we bought her last one but no, she wouldn't listen, but having been a part of last night she wants one now, oh yes, now she wants one...
