MD, if hands free is your prime consideration, you can do no better than the ViaMichelin X980-T.
You can talk to it straight out of the box -it's brilliant, and not only that, if a POI has an associated telephone number, tap it and you'll be talking to them in seconds. It also has (in my opinion) the best mapping available, even if it follows the Michelin atlas corporate mapping style.

On the downside is price - getting on for £400 - and the fact that you cannot save a planned journey, which for me is totally unforgivable.
