I test drove the Cooper D yesterday and I'm afraid to say I was dissapointed with the performance - I was really expecting something great with all that torque. It might be just a perception from the short drive but there only seemed to be any real power between 2500 and 4000 revs which left me constantly trying to find the right gear to move through dual carrigeway traffic. I'm sticking with my 04 Cooper for now but I might give the D another go after it has a few thousand on the clock (only 15 miles at the time of the test). It was quiet though, come to think of it, probably no worse than the 56 petrol I tried. |
