| I had the same problem, ended up uninstalling the software that came on CD with the tomtom and then downloading and installing a newer version from the tomtom website. I think there was some sort of bug with the version on CD so it wouldn't properly find the One.
Hope this info helps. From memory the software download page is not that easy to find on tomtom's site either.....
