Is this normal????

Picked up my MCa last Wenesday.
After driving and having turned the engine off , taken the key out and locked the car, the engine cooling fan switched itself on (quite loud). It was on for about 45 seconds and the only way i could get it to stop was to turn the car on again. ?????

Appearently, it's something about the new cooling system that cools the turbo or something... Correct me if I'm wrong.
