Offline | New MINI Tuning Is it likely that JCW and GTT etc. will take a long time before they bring out tuning packages for the new 2007 MINI? And, does anyone think there'll be significant differences on the 2007, ie. will current coilovers/rollbars/seats etc. likely be different and not transferrable etc.? ![]() |

Offline | Cheers guys, don't know what to do!! I don't think I can wait until next autumn (at the earliest) though for the new JCW... As far as I'm concerned, my options are:- 1. Getting a second hand JCW S (or std S and GTT'ing it) after the new models are out, when prices of the older models will no doubt drop. 2. Getting a new 2007 S and tuning it up when GTT have got a package ready. Obviously there's the warranty issue here (especially with it being a brand new car). I wouldn't buy a new JCW as I feel it's too expensive (£3600 more when GTT can do a 210 conversion for under £1k) either now or on the new model, but the spec I'd want second hand will be quite hard to find I think!! I'd want an '04 facelift Astro Black, full aero kit, MFSW, aircon, colour-coded ideally. Would like it to be a JCW210 but that's gonna be even harder to find! So will probably have to settle for a standard S to the spec I want, and GTT it. But I don't think I'll find one ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I don't think they'll take a long time... And as for the suspension, I've heard it has changed. How much I don't know. Handling has been improved. But it still has McPherson front suspension and multi link rear suspension. I've got some pictures of it.... |

Offline | Looks VERY similar to the current setup, similar if not same bolt patterns etc - shouldnt be to difficult for Eibach etc to make the changes needed if any. Rear control arms look a bit different. |

| Mazda3 Visitor | I wouldn't be so sure about that, many people seem to be unimpressed with the new car, at least amongst the current owners community. Resale value always has been strong, and I see the cars as two fairly different characters, rather than one being a natural superior evolution of the other. Minis rule, but so do Mazda3's, thank goodness I'm running in H-stock now though (only gotta deal with the regular Coopers now). . . |

Offline | But market value isn't based on what a sub group of a sub group feel about the car (the really enthusiastic owners who join online communities), it's based on sales and demand of the general public. |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Looking at your pics Bayliner it seems they have beefed up the fron suspension and made the rear suspension a bit flimsy. At least visably anyway. Hopefully the new skinny rear suspension is in fact just as strong but lighter to reduce weight. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Offline | Dear Father Christmas (2007) Can i have a 4WD mini cooper s that I'll be able to get 270-300bhp out of if GRS or GTT get hold of it. I've learnt my lesson, not to waste money on "JCW" . J (RIP) C (sold out, ?3 £million) W (garage closed down) Seriously though all BMW have to do is give us a 4WD drivetrain and chassis and a great car will happen-via aftermarket tuners! |
