Offline | My new Coffee Can (exhaust) It's a 2.5" ID/4" OD Supertrapp Wavetech. We removed the resonator and used a 2.5" pipe after the cat. Looks a bit silly, I know, but it sounds great. Nice and deep. I've noticed only a slight power increase in the higher RPMs. It seems to rev easier too...although that's probably just my own fault . And before anyone asks, sorry but no I dont have a camera that can take vidoes and sound. ![]() |

Offline | Oh I know it looks bad, but I'm not too concerned about that. With the resonator and muffler gone, and having used a slightly larger pipe it knocked off about 20lbs (the muffler itself only weighs 6lbs). It opened up the exhaust flow immensely, and for racing I can take off the end cap and it basically becomes a straight pipe. |

Offline | Me, too! Looks may be a subjective/opinion thing, but I can definately appreciate how much weight you've lost there... and I want to hear it, too! Crazy! ![]() ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. I'm a driving enthusiast... and I still like the R56" |

Offline | It looks really bizzare - but, perhaps the sound is it's redeeming feature, so I'll try to hold of judgement until then. Still... with looks like that, it really needs to sound heavenly.
