Question Alot of talk about add ons etc

LOL

There are a lot of threads on here of people who want this and that and changing engines etc

There are upgrades out there which are very good am I am not dissing them infact I am very impressed

My question is

Has anyone ever bored out an egine to increase the capacity and therefore the power?

What is teh max that the blocks could be bored out to?

This could be an expensive upgrade I am sure but in the end more capacity will mean more power

any thoughts

More Air + More Fuel = More Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't HAVE to bore out the block nowadays. You can just get a stroker kit. This gives you the higher engine displacement, without having to go to the effort of machining the block. A lot of Jap cars do it, best example is the Civic Type R, you can go from 2.0ltr up 2.2 or 2.4, from what i have seen, it is a case of putting longer stroke pistons and rods in, with a few extra bits in there of course. I think it is a cheaper way of going for more displacement aswell. I'm sure somebody could come up with a kit. May well be one for Roland and the GTT boys?

Revolution Mini Works in California has built a bored out stroker kit that takes it up to 2L.
