Hello everyone, we currently have the ITG filters for the R56 Mini One/Cooper (naturally aspirated). However there are two versions one for the manual the other for the automatic tranny.

Hey James, get one of those ITG filters ordered so you can tell me what its like mate. Save me wasting my cash if it's no good!!

I'm afraid we live in a world where 'you get what you pay for' as the cliché goes. Although as a vendor on this site I may appear to be biased towards ITG products, this is for good reason. When it came to selecting what brand of filter to offer, there was really no competition. ITG makes the majority of it money supplying race teams, works teams and engine builders from all over the world. Their experience in motorsport is unrivalled. Most cars running individual throttle bodies are equipped with the legendary ITG filters. As for power figures don’t expect an extra 25bhp and a drop of 1 second from your 0 – 60 times. However you will almost certainly notice a difference after you have replaced the OEM filter with an ITG one.

Leo, I like the look of the ITG filter and if I hadn't ordered some goodies already today (JCW hand brake, gear lever, mats and funky black and white dash trim plates) I would probably of had one of you. Tell me have you actually drove or heard one in a R56 cooper?

As James pointed out above it is a bit more than i would of expected to pay for a panel filter @ £63 plus £6 delivery. How come the JCW cone filter one you sell is only £41?

Mistercurly, the reason the R56 ITG filters are £63 is because they are hand made, again there is a labour factor involved. Currently there is no tooling for these filters (R56), however, in the coming months this will change. It takes ITG weeks to create the necessary tooling to have the replacements made by machine, but when they are the price will roughly be inline with the other filters. As for us offering the R53 JCW filter for £41 this is because round filters are very easy to make and do not require special tooling. I’m afraid I haven’t driven an R56 car equipped with an ITG filter YET! I’m now on a quest!

Thumbs up

had a piperx panel filter on my R53 ONE and was v happy with that, sure ITG is just as good; didnt know of it, more expensive, one stop shop fitted with ECU mapping, BMC also used in F1 etc makes it the better option for me

Hello everyone, there will soon be an ITG replacement filter for the R56 JCW mini. This will be sooner than originally anticipated. A new thread will be started when it is released.

Red face Blooming Italians

unfortunately, the BMC Panel did not arrive from Italy in time for Angel Tuning to fit it while looking at my ECU today ...

Furthermore, as feared, Angel were unable to communicate with the R56 Cooper ECU; see seperate thread http://www.mini2.com/forum/2nd-gen-e...ml#post3230717

So, who's going to be first with a replacement filter / CAI ?

if Angel figure out how to connect to the ECU, I'll probably get the Panel done at the same time but I'll have to think of another Xmas present for J1 now ... any ideas ?
