Offline | The options that Forge Motorsport offer for the R56 MCS may improve the performance but would very likely invalidate the warranty ! If you want to improve the performance then you could consider the JC Kit as this will not invalidate the warranty. |

Offline | The strut brace looks good and at a very affordable price ![]() Judging from the picture, it is adustable, so one should feel the difference in improved handling - better than the JCW option in my opinion! |

| The Second Coming........ | Not everyone can afford, or wants to fit the JCW. I myself, think it is overpriced and overated. YES, you get the warranty on it, BUT, for the same amount of money you can get far more bang for your buck. You just have to look around now to see there are more options than just the JCW, it was expensive for the R53's for a reason, the power hike was good, on the R56 it is not so great. JUST MY TWO PENCE WORTH, before people flame me. ![]() |

Offline | I agree totally.......the JCW Kit if bought when first available at £950 including labour was expensive for what you got. Now it costs even more If the cost dropped then I might get it.The problem with buying alternative upgrades is that you lose the BMW warranty and also the ECU is not re-mapped this could mean problems. |

| The Second Coming........ | Remaps are becoming more easily available from some people. But i learnt from my CTR, if you want the most from your mods, just get an aftermarket ecu. Best way to go in my opinion. With my Civic i had a full system exhaust and a Gruppe M intake. This was putting it at about 190bhp at the wheels, once i had my Hondata ECU fitted and mapped, i was seeing 219BHP at the wheels, the new ECU just maximises your mods. |

Offline | Forge Motorsport - Alloy Strut Brace for BMW Mini Cooper S R56 Apart from the obvious lack of taste in their nudge bar, does anyone else find their illiteracy disconcerting? * * * * * NeuroBeaker Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 Mini ONE). |

| MINI2 Master | I'm sorry, but i may be missing the point. But is'nt that Nudge bar thing illegal for use on Uk roads, thought all metal bull bars or extrusions were banned as of may last year????? Plus Why? I once bougth a FMIC for my old Diesel Ibiza from Forge, once fitted i removed and sent it back, the workmanship was shoddy and the piping was downright poorly designed. i kicked up such a fuss that they eventually changed the kit completly after admitting that the design was floored because they rushed to get it to market. Also did'nt forge use someone R56 not so long ago and say there was no way they could fit a modded FMIC like on the 207 because it was too tight for space and no gains to be had. I look forward to seeing some Inlet temps before and after of this product |

Offline | I thought nudge/bull bars were just illegal on production cars as they leave the factory, but they could be fitted on their own? either way, its terribly ugly. |

Offline | From memory though I could be wrong, nudge/bull bars can remain on vehicles that had them from new. But they cannot be added to vehicles that did not have them originally. |

Offline | hello, i run a tuning shop offering and can offer all the parts forge do for the mini. Our main business is dealing with VAG tuning, but we are more than happy to sell parts for other vehicles. Basically we want to see if there is enough interest to do Group Buys On Forge Motorsport Parts before we become a forum sponser - as this is the only thing we will be able to offer you Mini guys. This post is not to plug our shop (im not even mentioning the name of it!) and i wont be replying to any PM's about the products until i have talked to the admin on here about donating to the site. Obviously there will be savings to be made with the group buys depending on quantities, so if anyone is interested, or thinks it is a good idea, let it be heard. thanks |
