Offline | GGR Upgrades R56S Just found an email from Graham Goode Racing promoting their new R56 Cooper S Products! They are saying 30bhp + 47Nm of torque with a superchip map and the following: Cold Air Intake (CAI) (14bhp on its own) BMW Mini R56 CAI Sports Cat Downpipe (12bhp on its own) BMW Mini R56 Sport Cat This is the graph they supply: http://www.grahamgoode.com/coopergraph.pdf Not heard much about them from the R50/R53 scene, though i know they do your usual 210+ kit for the R53. Any comments? .: Mary MkII (January '07 - to Present) R56 Cooper S :. .: H&R Springs : JCW Rotors : Forge Blow Off Adaptor : Alta CAI :. |

| MINI2 Regular | this is the same problem as superchips they cant confirm if the 200bhp once chipped still has the overboost so effectivly 220ish bhp or includes it but all the time which to me is a big difference as 175bhp standard but 200ish with overboost 200bhp with superchip but no overboost 200bhp with superchip but 220ish with overboost i would prefer if it was the last option and if it was would get it done deffinatly J |

Offline | I thought overboost was related to torque not BHP. The problem I have with companies advertising big bhp gains from remaps, is how much you can trust them. BMW quote ~175bhp for the mcs, but it may be slightly more - but how do you know? one roller differs from the next, and all these companies do is do some ecu changes, put it on their roller and then say what the difference is between BMWs official estimated figure and their new figure (on some RR that we have no way of knowing is accurate). They can quote 30bhp increase but actually have no idea as to how much it's increased, if any. bloody annoying if you ask me, but dont believe everything you read I guess. |

Offline | That is true. Best thing you can do is dyno your car before and then again after and see what the differences are. (Ideally on the same day in the same conditions) A lot of these companies should have rolling road facilities available to them, with most companies offering you a full money back and return to stock guaranty if you are not happy. Its the only way you can be curtain. Even when they offer your their own before and after findings, whose to say they are true. .: Mary MkII (January '07 - to Present) R56 Cooper S :. .: H&R Springs : JCW Rotors : Forge Blow Off Adaptor : Alta CAI :. |
