Hi all,

Just bought (today

) a new shape R56 Cooper S and am looking to change the air filter to an uprated one. I am used to Mini tuning and previously had an Alta on my R53 which worked brilliantly.

However, Im not such a big fan of the blow off valve sound on the new R56 turbo so would be happier going for a quieter panel filter replacement (lohen stock 2 that both look good)

Just wondering if anyone has one fitted and could upload a sound / video clip?

The JCW cone filter doesn't produce any more turbo sound than stock, so I doubt a panel filter would, don't think I've seen any posts suggesting they do. As long as you keep the airbox you should be fine.
