| MINI2 Regular | Why when breaking is there no high level brake light on. Are these disabled or have the rear lights been photoshopped on? The rear windows sweep around also. Some of the other spy shots I have seen it looked like the C-Pillar (I think it's called) was covered with plastic similar to the A-Pillar. Maybe it's just more near the finished item. 57 Mini Cooper, Astro Black. |

Offline | Best photos for a while - especially for an amateur!! Agree with all above comments about styling - looks less "balanced" (sorry; can't describe any netter than that) than current model, plus what's happeining around the side indicator repeaters? It looks like a fatter/deepr grille in front of lens? ![]() |

Offline | I see it too, it really looks like this car has the "wrap-around" rear glass I thought I read was going away on the newer generation...that's great if they keep it! I agree the rear bumper looks too chunky...maybe it looks more balanced with the rear lights uncovered? Not sure... |

![]() pink miniac | Yeah, I'm quite unhappy with the back bumper as well. I find that the R56 kinda looks like a squished Jeep Liberty... IMHO... ![]() My name is Christina. I am living my dream! Offline | You know, however disguised these cars are, there's something that I'm really liking about this new MINI, and that is pretty evident from all the spy shots we've seen so far, and especially from these photos: and it is the fact that the changes will surely be so subtle that our current MINIs won't suddenly look extremely outdated when the new one appears! That design continuity is the hallmark of all the great classics! Having been inspired by an icon (the original 1959 Mini), our MINI's design can't be dramatically changed without running the risk of losing that unmistakable distinctive Mini flavour! I guess that is one more of the many great things about a MINI, current version or future one! ![]() ![]() |
