Online | 2007 Exterior Paint Sample Scans A few dealers (maybe all) in Europe have been able to get their mitts on a two page brochure with photos of the new MINI, and samples (examples) of the interior finishes and exterior paints. Here is a scan of the exterior paint samples. The colours etc are "as scanned", and look pretty much like the real thing to me. Click on image for larger version. ![]() Lightning Blue actually looks a little purple in the brochure, which makes me more keen on Laser Blue. |

| Change Is Not Good! | mellow yellow looks as i imagined, like fiat's yellow. good to see pepper white has survived & as nice as sparkling silver is i can't see why we need 3 silvers when the range of colours overall is so limited. be intersting to see if laser blue sheens as nicely as electric blue |

Online | I think Laser Blue looks fantastic "in the metal", much better than any photo of it I've seen. Lightning Blue does look a little purple there, but so did Indi in certain lights. And BRG doesn't look too true to life so hard to judge still. |

| all good things....... | I think the crappy thing is that MINI are still not offering enough solid colours, as I prefer solid colours to metalics. Also metalic colours are a rip off, they charge you more for them, but they actually don't cost that much more than solid to produce ![]() Food rule fanatic ![]() |

| Change Is Not Good! | very true. look at new cars on the road & a lot of manufacturers are going back to solid colours - volvo do some fantastic shades. i think mini are too scared of being accused of being retro with the mini but for me its lines suit a solid colour more than a metallic. metallics suit a more 'technical' looking car like the BMW where they help to define lines, whereas the mini is a more fluid shape |

Offline | Glad PW survived... if I was buying a new one (which I won't be, cos it's fecking ugly!) I'd probably have Mellow Yellow or CR. Nightfire Red is disappointing - I was hoping it would be darker, more like Velvet Red. Sparkling Silver looks like a bloody Peugeot colour, too. Now driving a 2006 Brabus Roadster Coupe PW/B Cooper S Works has gone to its new home! |

Offline | Agree (been thinking about resprays in several years time) - Audi do a cracking non-metallic blue for the RS4, BRG should be non-metallic anyway, and for some reason (!?) I think a pale blue would look good (though wouldn't be my first choice). ![]() |
