Went into the dealer to see the status of my car and they mentioned there were a couple of Lightning Blue coopers that have arrived

Its a really nice colour, and seems much nicer in the flesh than the pictures from the spa circuit. Glad I held out and ordered it

i took some of the pics at spa circuit, and what made them a bit dull was the fact they had many miles of dirt on them, and didnt have the white to brighten up the blue. Gorgeous colour though! very nice!

I LOVE it!!

(I was planning to order a blue, and was hoping Lightning would be close enough to Hyper to fit my desires. Excellent! )

Now the wait for my order to go in becomes even LESS tolerable!

Have one coming in the new year and to be honest it does nothing for me. Very boring and as I said before better suited to an Audi not a MINI

The more i look the worse it gets.

and i really hope the transit spacers are still in the suspension in that fourth photo

Didnt you see the colour before you ordered? is it your car or a company car? shame you feel that way about the colour

I saw the swatch in the dealership and took a chance. I thought it would be a safe bet and it seems it was a little too safe. I know its only an opinion.

I would never have considered chilli red but marcus' looks amazing!

oh well.

just hope it looks better in the flesh and with my spec

ahrr thats so sad to hear that you are not happy, i am sure it will grow on you. Best bet it to wait to you see it in the flesh as i have learnt that pictures never are a match to the real life picture you see in the flesh.

It's nice to see a clean MINI with Lightning Blue on it. Theire much nicer than the Spa pictures!

What was the problem with Lightning Blue. I got a message from someone from MINI Holland who said Lightning Blue couldn't be delivered before March 2007?! I don't hope I get the same message from my dealer....

I ordered a Cooper S in Lightning Blue! Should be delivered 9th February.... I can't wait anymore, already "gave" my "old" new MINI Cooper S to the dealer.... Stupid....

I'm sure they would have had the spacers on, the car didn't appear to have been touched by the dealership at all.

Hope you prefer it more in the flesh than the pics

Otherwise that could be an awkward handover for the dealer
