It's getting down to the "brass tacks" in figuring out my Mini's final specs.

And that means it's time to consider a roof graphic!

I have a Lightning Blue MCS on order, with a sunroof.

Now, some have said a roof graphic helps cut down on light just enough that on bright sunny days, it is still bright inside without being hot. I have also read that the new sunroof is even bigger than the R53.

At any rate, I REALLY like the graphic with the Helipad, but alas it doesn't seem to be available if one has a sunroof. But it seems to me that if you cut the graphic to allow the sunroof to open/close, it shouldn't be a problem. In fact, it seems like that one in particular would go well with a sunroof because the horizontal line of the H should fall right between the front & back sunroof panels.

But anyway, I would be interested in people's thoughs on Roof Graphics and the R56 sunroof. I'm in Florida, so the sun's intensity year-round does factor into my decision to use the graphic as a way to shade the interior a bit but still allow me to open the top back and let breeze in or whatever when the weather permits.

I'm also all ears as to other ideas one can do with a roof with a sunroof. I've seen the iPod one on NAM already, and I'm personally not big on checkers or flags, but maybe someone else will find them inspirational.

I'm pretty sure your Helipad idea won't work I'm afraid Jeff

The problem is that the 'H' is bigger than the sunroof, so the only way it will be feasible is if you have a black roof instead of white and have the 'H' cut to allow the sunroof to open. If you stick with a white roof you won't be able to see some of the letter (obviously the black 'H' is out as it won't show up on the sunroof).

Saying that, the sheer size of the sunroof means having a black roof will actually look better, as it blends in to the roof colour.

I know you say you're not a fan of the Chequered Flag, but having seen it on a Laser Blue with White MCS fitted with a sunroof I think it looks great!
