In my research here and in other forums I've only found only one person who agrees with me that sparkling silver could look good with a white roof. A big problem is that there are no pictures out there to look at with this combination, except for the configurator which isn't accurate. Of course seeing sparkling silver in person would help a lot, but I don't have that option yet here in NJ. Could someone please take the time to photoshop a sparkling silver MC with a white roof? I know it's a very unpopular choice, but based on pictures of SS MC's I've seen, I'm thinking this combination would work very well.

Can anyone help, pretty please? Thank you.

If you go to the 'design a mini' on the official website, you can see what it would look like. I was checking out SS with white roof and racing stripes. Looked hot......

Bonj, you're the only other person I've come across who seems to think SS/W would be a nice combination. I did look at it at the MINI website and I thought it looked pretty nice. That's not the consensus, however. The problem I have with the MINI site is that I don't think the colors are very accurate. This is very difficult.

I dont like it, dont look bad but looks better with black roof imo.

know what you mean, I changed my spec three times. And now I´m stuck with AB/AB and I´m excited.. and the order is now at the point so I cant change it.

I've been very curious about the SS/W combination as well. I like it alot, I think it would be very unique, but I think it also would look better without the bonnet stripes. Its kinda like the old silk green/white combo.. I preferred that without the stripes as well.

IMO, either a black roof (with bonnet sripes) or even a colour coded roof would look nice.

Based on pictures, I actually like both the white and black roof with SS. I hope to see an SS/B at my dealers soon, so it will help me decide. But meanwhile, I've discovered Oxygen Blue/White....which I may have to select over the SS, even without seeing it in person.

Look at SS w/white picture in this NAM thread. SS and white is awesome. I almost changed my order to it, considered the new oxygen blue, but stuck with BRG w/white.

Don't do it!! SS/W is horrible.

I briefly contemplated having a white roof on my SS, but I went with the black and it's a great combo.

Living in Florida, I don't consider the black roof an option as it makes the sun's heat bake the inside of the car. I really like SS/B but think DS/W is better than SS/W so that's what I will get.

I'm the one who started this thread, but I ended up ordering Oxygen Blue/White. It's so awesome! The SS/B is stunning, but I prefer the OB/W.

Hi Rennie, I'm new here and I ordered a new MINI Cooper just a few weeks ago. I am very interested in your choice of color, I probably would like to order Oxyblue/White as well. I fell in love with Electric Blue, which was not available anymore. First I ordered Sparkling Silver/Black, changed that to Lightning Blue/White when I saw that in real life. I was intrigued by Oxygen from the beginning, because I am fond of blue and besides that Oxygen seems a nice "retro" color to me, suiting the mini really well. My only concern is that there might be too much green in it. Have you actually seen the color on a car yet? Here in the Netherlands only one Oxy was ordered so far and it will not be ready before week 13 or so, that is too late for me to change my specs. Could you give me a few more reasons to take my chances on Oxygen? What made you decide?
