Disappointment :(

Hi ppl,

I went to my local dealers to pay off my new MCS yesterday...

To my HUGE disappoinment i was told that the JCW carbon spoiler will not be shipped into the uk untill mid-march due to testing in Germany.

This was the piece of kit on my car i was most looking forward to seeing. They are fitting an aero spoiler temporarily i was told, still wont be the same though...

Think of it as a message from the Lord above, giving you some extra time to change your mind.

I guess I'd rather they test it than not.... I'm sure it will be fantastic when it arrives

If they're doing the Aero spoiler FOC in the meantime, then that's a good effort on their part, as they didn't have to.

True story suppose they could have just not let u have a spoiler at all and have to wait for one.

Just a quick question....
i have ordered an aero kit on mine and i have asked for the original bumpers too as i was told they would just be chucked away!.... has anyone else done this?

Cheers

Yup, you're well within your rights to keep the old bumpers they remove....

DS with DS wheels will look cool

I guess the delay in the aero spoiler might mean the factory painted aero kit won't be out until the same time

Why?

It's not as if a spoiler, or lack of it, is going to affect the car being driven, is it?

Seems like a huge waste of time and money to me!

I'd class it as an indulgence rather than a waste of money...

If he wants it, then fair play to him. All the works parts are expensive, but if you want them, and can afford them, go for it.

But the first post is worded that the dealership are fitting it as a temporary measure, not that he has asked for it to be done.

Or am I reading it wrong?

i have been told i am having a spoiler fitted for temporary measure (which requires no payment) untill the JCW spoiler comes in. I appreciate the dealership doing this im just disappointed that my Carbon fibre one wont be on the car!!!!!!

I would imagine your dealer is getting the kit and then painting it themselves rather than getting a factory painted kit.
