Hi! I've ordered the new mini one in lightning blue and can't wait to get it! I'm interested in getting some silver viper stripes though as i was dissapointed that stripes wern't and option form the factory. I'm not into the custom roof graphics so i reckon this will look pretty damn good.

Does anyone have a picture of a new gen mini, lightning blue and silver viper stripes. Also, if someone could tell me how much it roughly cost from a UK dealer that would be brill. Cheers!

on mini.co.uk the viper stripes are priced at £99 but that is without fitting.

speak to your dealer they should/will probably fit for nothing, you should have tried blagging them for free.

I tried blagging some free decals with my order and failed miserably. They ended up giving me a free tank of petrol!

Think I should go to a different dealer if there are places which will fit stuff for free, I ordered some JCW door strips and they wanted £20 to fit them. £20 to stick 2 strips to the sills which would take 2 minutes? I don't think so!

Are you sure about that? My dealer would definately not fit them for free as they get a outside company to do them and they have to pay them for their time and labour.

I went to a outside company and got slightly individual stripes fitted to my MINI and that only cost me £99 full fitted. MINI vinyl fitting is very expensive. I got quoted close to £300 for a set of vipers on my old MINI One.

As for the pic. I don't think anyone has gone for silver vipers yet on a lightning blue but theres a Cooper up the road from me that has white vipers on a lightning blue and it looks cool! I know a user on here that has Silver vipers on his Hyper blue first gen MCS that looks cool too!

possibly, I dunno.

Our mini has gone back today, they managed to get a bubble under the one stripe and found a scratch on the bonnet so having a respray and new stripes fitted.

wth regards to the poster about JCW door sill strips, thats a stupid price I did my mates 1 min a side.

Stupid price indeed, so I told them not to bother fitting them as I'd do it myself. When I picked the car up they'd fitted them anyway free of charge.
