Offline | Just wondering if the boot is supposed to open up fully when the button is pressed? Mine only pops it open and then I have to lift it the rest of the way open. I've seen the same function on a bmw and the boot shoots up and open fully..... ![]() |

Offline | The full opening thing is not that easy on a hatchback car - you would need a mechanisim to raise the tailgate cmpletely. On a saloon car, this is a lot easier to acheive as it is smaller and only has to move ~90degrees, not ~180degrees rewuired in the MINI hatchback. Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | You need to hold the button down on the key fob for a few seconds and the boot will pop open (but it won't open all the way up). If you just press the button quickly, nothing will happen. |

Offline | The manual states that in certain countries the boot release on the remote does not work unless the car is unlocked. It works on mine. Just hold the button for a few seconds. No chance of getting it locked in the boot, the keys always in my pocket - Comfort access is a wonderful thing. ![]() |

Offline | i tried opening the car then pressing the button for a few secs & the boot did pop open, i it was a case of operator error, not a fault with the car. it is a rather good feature isn't it Laser Blue / Black MCS - Arived March 07 |
