DIY Color coding arches

Can anyone tell me, the arches on my MCS with aero kit are the black rubbery type plastic ones (great description eh). Does anyone know if these can be successfully color coded to the bodywork, or i it easier to change them for harder ABS Plastic or Fibreglass ones.

Yes it can be done.....

But becasue of the "textured" finish there is alot of prep work needed......so costs are abit higher than youd expect...

I have asked a few local bodyshops and a couple of MINI dealers near me and nobody will touch it as they cannot guarantee that the paint won't come off (I have seen this too)

I got a quote last week for my R53 MCS for £400 as they need to be sanded, primed, ruber primed and painted, thats alot of work.

Hi,

I got the aero rear bumper and side skirts fitted a few months ago and at the same time got my arches colour coded. Didn't replace the arches just colour coded the one's already there. Seemed to work fine and I've had no issues so far.

Regards
