Exclamation Roof Decal or Pedals? Help!!

Hello all,

I need some help!

My Dooper is coming soon and I need to make my mind up about something. I was thinking of getting the Heli-pad roof decal. I'm now having second thoughts as I'm not sure if it will suit my car which is Pepper White with a Black Roof. My main concern is the yellow bits that surround the big 'H'.

What are your thoughts.

My alternative option is the sports pedals, i.e. the metal ones you get in the Cooper S.

My dealer has offered me either FOC so I need to let him no ASAP.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks

I'd thought of that myself!

I've just went back to the dealer to ask him what they would charge for the pedals. Should be interesting!!

To be honest I really don't see the point in getting the "sport" pedals. In the accessories catalogue they add up to almost £85, for out-of-sight parts that don't actually have any performance merit?!

If you really want to get something extra I'd recommend the JCW steering wheel, although that's slightly more than the pedals and roof decal put together!

I would go for the pedals, or I agree if you could have the JCW steering wheel go for that.

the roof decal will totally ruin the look of your Dooper, making it look cheap and nasty.

the black roof will set off the pepper white and will look superb and classy.

you can't beat a black roof on a mini

I've just confirmed it all with the dealers. Not getting the roof decal anymore!

I'm getting the Stainless Steel Pedal set and the chrome filler cap.

Not long to go now!!

I really like the Cooper S filler cap, anyone know how much it would be to have one fitted to my Cooper. I have seen original ones on eBay for about £70 but I think the surround bit needs painting.

You can buy the cap from MINI for £64.95, there is a bit that needs painted, my dealer charged me £30.00 to do this. I didn't get charged for fitting but I don't think it takes too long and you may be able to do it yourself.

She did say that it would be £71 to fit. I think i will get in contact with Chris at woodmans and see how much he can post me a ready painted one out for.

She musn't have look too hard! It's in their accessories catalogue on page 10. The part number is 51 17 0 419 864 and is listed at £64.95.

Hope this helps a little!

The Mini is an Icon in it's self.
The roof decal you choose should be personal to you, but also the colour cannot be too contrasting to the body work.
Yellow, Black & Cream

I famously choose Jack Nicholson from the shining...

It looked great and was personal to me.

If your looking for a roof Decal, take my advice and don't go with one of the Stock BMW fonts.

Cheers for that, some of these people are worse than useless. She obviously didn't look at all

How do you get that catalogue? Can you just pick one up from the dealer?

Yip, it was sitting in one of the racks along side the price list for the Mini.

I got the chrome filler cap cover yesterday, couldn't manage to get a deal like yours though Leaky Turnip. It cost me £65 for the cap and £50 plus VAT for painting. I had to fit it myself at that, was a bit fiddly but nothing to difficult.
