Hi guys,

I had a quick question regarding how the home coming lighting function works on the mini. I want to set this function to always come on when i close/open the car. Is this possible? Will I need to go for automatic headlamps for this to work how I want it to? From what i understand after reading up about this on the mini website is that you have to pull the light controlling stalk every time you exit the car. Is this true?

Hope to hear back from you guys... Ordering my car within the next few weeks...

You alter all of the settings on the stick - and they are set to each specific key. For example if you set the lights to come on for 30 secons on one key, your spare key will have them on for a different time until you set it different or like the indicators on one key they may click 3 times on the spare key they may click once etc.

So does this mean that I do not have to pull on the stalk before I get out of the car.. I can just switch it off as normal and the home coming function will be active (without selecting the factory automatic lighting option)....
