JCW Aero Kit Rear

Hi Guys,

Well I have finally managed to save enough pennies to get the JCW Aero Kit for my CR Cooper S.

Have to thank the guys at McKeon for a really good price.

Im thinking of ditching the rear bumper. Feel it doesnt look great and doesnt blend in with the car as well as the rest of the car does.

I'd love to hear you guys feeling on this as I have noticed a few r56s with just front and side, or just side skirts on their own.

Finally, can i expect to receive anything for the old bumpers by placing them on Ebay?

Thanks again,

Conor

funny u should say that! i used to have the same opinion as you...but since ordered it for my march 08 del it has really grown on me and think it is stunning! really really love it....makes the car seem so much more beefy!! but yes there is a market i believe for all original bumpers on ebay...as long as they are not in the MCS only colours but u have CR so wont have a problem....iv seen a set of old bumpers fetch 380 on ebay a while back....quite impressive eh! i say u get the rear part of the kit...as it would look odd without it...and it will inhance the rear and the whole car imo

Personally I don't really like the rear aero bumper either, but I don't think it looks odd without it. Check out Supersaw's black MCS with the aero kit but without the rear . I think it looks great.

Mmm after seeing that I agree that the MCS without a rear aero kit bumper does look okay as the rear bumper is quite sporty anyway. Though if it were a Cooper then I would def. say have the aero bumper as that would look odd, well IMO anyway.

I had the JCW kit fitted by the dealer before I picked up my brand new MCS - I managed to get £400 for the old bumpers, skirts and Grille on eBay, however that was after 2 weeks of trying. I think I was very lucky. Bear in mind they are WAAAY too big to post, so you will be best find somebody local or somebody willing to travel and pick up.

As for the rear, I think it looks great and completes the whole look of the kit, but then I might be bias
