Offline | Was browsing a thread on the American forum on posting pics of your R56. I got to page 27! before I spotted a PS R56. That got me thinking that nobody on here seems to have gone for PS. I've never seen one on the road either. So, is nobody ordering PS? Has silver gone out of fashion? Here it is MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - Please Post Pictures of Your R56 Here..., I like it! Red/Black R56 Cooper Last edited by MINIAC : Dec 1st, 2007 at 12:46 AM. Offline | When I was choosing, I thought the PS looked a bit too "grown up", borderline "old" on a MINI. Obviously a personal matter, but I took the Dark Silver route and paired it with a white roof/stripes/wheels. Of course, I'm grown up myself, borderline old (38), so I'm obviously compensating :-) Like you, I've not seen any on the road on an S. Rob. |

Offline | Speaking of silver cars, I came out of work yesterday and there were no less than 11 silver cars in a row of 13 spaces. As i looked around the rest of the car park there seemed to be a 50% quota of silver cars....is it cos people are to lazy to wash their cars and silver hides that fact ![]() ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | I know what you mean - my other half has the ubiquitous silver mark iv golf. I have a photo of it in the car park for my flat in London. Every car bar my (at the time) hyper blue MCS was the same (I'm sorry to say) rather dull shade of silver. I guess a lot of the appeal of minis is that you can be a bit different and stand out from the crowd - quite difficult if you're driving a car that's the same colour as 90% of the sensible cars on the road..... |

Offline | If you but white when you come to sell it it will be worth less if you buy silver it's the same then that's what the Dealers say , silver is to coman they say but easy to keep clean and safe colour, i think the PS with kit looking realy nice buy the colour that you realy like and not what you think other people will like IMHO ![]() |

Offline | I am sure a PW MINI will not be worth less as it is such a popular colour. White is defo making a comeback and (given the few numbers in MINIs) silver is on the way out. Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | I am not a great fan of Silver, but certainly wouldn't have one on the principal that it is the most common colour around. Walking around my estate I sometimes wonder whether Silver qualifies for a discount on your council tax bill! Pepper White is apparently the best selling colour at the moment. I think that over the long term, the only colours you can rely on remaining in fashion are black, silver and red. Still wouldn't swap my Lightning Blue for anything else ![]() |

Offline | i thought the silver was a little too silver, and did not have as much presence on the MIni as other colours did. I ending up choosing astro black and was going to have a white roof and mirrors, but the car i drove was all black, and i personally found that to be better looking. |

Offline | I have one, KenL, an all silver MCS ... simply because I like the colour and that it is understated. I was told by the sales rep at the time that it was highly irregular - I thought she was going to refuse to order it for me at one point . I have yet to see another all silver R56 MINI actually in the metal, never mind an S. Each to their own I say ... be brave! |
