Offline | Fergal... the cooper lower chrome should fit fine, I fitted my aero kit myself and had all the different combos of the grills on that day and I used the standard Cooper Chrome Lower and Upper Trims with the JCW Aero Grills it looked good, but personally much preferred the all black look ![]() btw if anyone is looking for a brand new JCW Aero Grill ( without the surrounds) PM me |

Offline | This has got me thinking, does that mean that the standard Cooper lower surround, will also fit the Cooper D/S JCW Grille as well. Therefore no need to modify a MCS lower surround or are the fixing points different ? I know the top part of the grille is slightly different, but not sure about the fixing points for the lower surrounds ![]() ![]() Has anyone got any pics of the Cooper lower surround showing the fixing points? Thanks! |

Offline | The lower chrome surround on a Cooper / D is a totally depth from the S. See a picture in my earlier post. http://www.mini2.com/forum/2nd-gen-e...ml#post3290063 |

Offline | Having followed this for sometime, I am up for doing it to my new Cooper Clubman D when I get it. Question I have is, I know the part number for the grille and cooper S chrome lower, but is there any other parts I might need such as clips etc and if so anybody know the part numbers (DIY fitting)? Many thanks to all on this thread who have contributed, with it I would not have thought about doing it. |

Offline | I took the clips in and out dozens of times when experimenting with the various grilles, and they were fine. I bought the parts from Cotswold MINI, and they threw some spare clips in for (almost) free anyway. |

| MINI2 Newbie | been reading this tread for a few weeks, puzzled but went a head and ordered a areo grille and cooper S lower chrome trim... for my r56 cooper, it only needed a little buff with a dremel to shape the corners on the S lower trim... easy really. sounds worse than it was.. very happy with the final look... ![]() |

Offline | Yeah it has been a bit confusing....but you didnt need to buy the lower S surround as your original lower cooper surround would of worked. From what I can gather its on the Cooper D that needs the adjustments. |

Offline | Thats what I said! The cooper D has different shape bonnet and bumper to the Petrol Cooper.....which I have! ![]() Eddie44 said he had a Cooper not a CooperD, thats why i replied to his msg. The Petrol Cooper is just a straight swap. |
