Clear rear lights for R56 - I wish they made them!

Had this thought when I 1st saw the R56, and only just got round to Photo-shopping it!!

I know the its probably on the wrong side of illegal (no reflectors) but its looks soooooooooo much better. Any takers?

They look better than I expected them too.

Nice Photoshop work, Ollie.

I'd have some............. but the R50/R53 models didnt have any reflectors, you had to get them mounted into your bumper......or find another way to get some red on the back of the car.

I guess they do look okay but really depends on the car's body colour and what other modifications it has, such as spoilers, rear apron etc. For a retro look, stay with the red and yellow - for that modern look, go for the white ones!

What I really want to see to be made available are LED rear light clusters. They have them on the BMW, also with an optional "smart brake lights", which shine brighter when the brakes are pressed harder. Not sure why they did not bring this nifty safety feature over to the MINI?

I personally don't think they suit the car, but it might just be those photos.

The cars red - Does that count?

I agree on the colour front - It'd look worse on some colours than on others. Looks OK in red I think.
