Offline | Colours? Hi guys sorry to go on but im more confused now about what spec i want than i was when i first started! ![]() Im now thinking about getting a union jack roof/Lightening blue bodywork /white bonnet stripes What do you think? Ive seen sir johnraz's MCS on here and looks fantastic! I hope im right in thinking that a mini one can have the bonnet stripes and roof graphic fitted at the dealership just the same as the cooper and cooper s.Then i would just get the mirrors sprayed white by my mate who has a body shop. Other option is all black? so its between lightening blue with white stripes and union flag or a far more conservative black/black it will also have the jcw kit fitted, please post your views, cheers Thats the problem with mini's tooooooooooo many options, im like a kid in a Sweet shop!!!! ![]() |

Offline | Im truly sorry if i offend anyone that has them but i think any kind of flag or roof graphic on a Mini is just tacky and cheap looking. I know a guy that had a beautiful all black R53 S Works he was talked into the checker roof decals by his girlfriend and suddenly his car was horrible and tacky, he soon removed them and vowed never to do it again. And on that note theres nothing more tacky than a union jack. on the old Mini it was cool i think these cars are to cool to ruin them with roof decals. Viper Stripes all the way!! ![]() This is more or less what you Mini one will look like left all black with a JCW Kit. |

Offline | I take back the word tacky, its out of place, i think tacky was a tad too strong. Like i said i don't mean to offend anyone thats just my opinion and doesn't reflect upon someones pearsonal choice. Just always thought they ruined a very smart sporty looking car, but i can see why people would do it, suppose to keep the retro look of the old MINI's going. Imagine a fully kitted out JCW mini with all carbon upgrades with a union jack on the top , i just don't think it would go but if your not aiming for a sporty appearance then suppose it doesn't seem as bad. Thats just my own view so don't tke it pearsonally as all in all a mini is a very cool car.![]() Joe |
