Hi everyone

I'm new to the whole mini world, and after ordering a dooper I'm hesitating about one.

Should I get the regular stripes or the viper ones (mounted by mini)?

If anyone has pictures of a mini with the original viper stripes it would probably help

(the original one being a kit that doesn't extend to the bumpers)

I've ordered a lightning blue with black roof & mirror caps and with the "normal" factory mounted stripes.

Hope some people can help me a little as I still have time to modify my order.

Personally i prefere VIPER stripes to the normal BRACE style ones.

Have you searched the WEB for Photo's?

Have looked at several pictures, and only today found one of the vipers which don't extend to the bumpers.

I must say that I'm tempted to call up the dealer tomorrow and have him change my order to viper stripes, but 2 sets so they can extend them to the front & rear bumper.

I would honestly do it as the Brace style stripes look too dated and don't make the car look "MEAN" enough. Go for the VIPER's and extend them>

Yeah Braxe style is what they are known as on the old style MINI.

Heres pics of the original "BRACE" ones and the BMW "BRACE" ones.

What comes as a standard stripe is called by BMW Garages near me "BONNET BRACES" and also at the MINI owners club that my brother takes his 1999 MINI to call them "BONNET BRACES". Can't believe no one else has heard that term.

Well, because MINI calls them Bonnet Stripes on the spec sheets etc and in the brouchures then that is what people call them when asking questions etc about them.

I prefer the term "classic" to "dated". And at the end of the day, it is a MINI and not a Dodge.
