Hi people. A couple of yo may remember that about 3 weeks ago my MINI got keyed .

I have found out who did it, but been off college for two weeks so nothing has happened, but go back tomorrow so gonna get the wheels in motion as i know who to send the bill to now! I got a quote from MINI as I was genuine MINI paintwork as thats what i have at the moment, so why should i have anything less?? The quote was for £728.50. However just finished cleaning my car and notices around 8 more scratches. They are not real scratches but have creased the paint and are now quite noticable.

I have decided that i think i will get a Cooper S bonnet as i think they are really nice. This is because the whole bonnet will need to be painted again as there is still some small damage from where i hit something last year. Does anyone know how much i can get one for (primed)?

Sorry to hear about your car, but glad you know who did it. Don't risk getting yourself into trouble with the law over it though.

As to the car, keep it as the maker intended, a non-S with an S bonnet is just not right

Don't get yourself into trouble; go through the official lines.

I'd agree with Ken about the S bonnet. I'd look for a non-S one if I were you.

Im gonna hopefully get it sorted this week and get it booked into the garage! I'm not gonna get 'revenge'. The revenge i will take is giving them the bill.....which will be in excess of £1000

I want an S bonnet as i have the front/rear bumper also.....

Stupid pointless thing to do. I can imagine that person is very immature.

it was in my college car park and fortunatly my mate was driving past as they were doing it! So i have three eye witnesses.

i have given them 2 options....

1. they pay the bill and its all forgotten
2. they pay the bill and its all forgotten, but they get a criminal record in the process

and if they dont pay it there are other ways to get the money from them

Sorry to hear about this - A pain the the Bl***y A*** I tell ya.

We had this happen to our Kia Sorento (4x4) - Managed to find out who it was (some eco hippy lot) and they had to pay through the nose (About £1500 I think it was, it was down the whole side of the car front to back ) Never has a feeling of madness slipped into a feeling of smugness/happiness so well - I hope you will feel the same

Yea, I cant wait to give them the bill Its £1566.17 because I gotta have a new bonnet as they dented that which means the paints gotta be blended into the front A - Pannels so 3/4 of the car is goint to be re-sprayed so £1500 isnt really to bad for a new cooper-s bonnet, air duct and all of that paint and labour especially from a main dealer.

Yeah bvut you got to remember that if you have to take it to court. Having things replaced with more expensive upgrade (COOPER S) parts wont hold up to well unless you are willing to pay the difference in the bonnets. At-least i know that if i had done something like that (Which by the way i would never as its disscusting and out of order) i would not be willing to pay for an upgrade bonnet for someone whether im in the wrong or not.

Yes, i see your point and i already thought about that - i am willing to pay the difference between the two. I have a quote with a normal Cooper bonnet and one with a Cooper S bonnet, it is a £79 difference.

Adam do you have a Cooper S Grille arranged too? I believe that the Cooper grille doesn't fit on the Cooper S Bonnet? Just a heads up maybe?

I got an S front bumper and grill on at the moment.
