Offline | the strange hiss/ door fit problems hi all, has anyone else noticed a hiss from the back seat area when the engine is started. It sounds just like a speaker turned up too high , but is present even if the radio is off. By the time I've got going I've tuned it out of my head , as it gets lost in the road noise , but It's not changed since I picked up the car. I also pointed out that the door alignment is fairly poor , to the saleslady , when I picked up the car, and she has let the service department know , so this can be tweaked when it goes in for it's first service. Is this a general problem, with early production , or just tired workers just back from xmas break?Anyone else noticed this. On the plus side , engine loosening up nicely(350 miles) and making more power and grins! drive safe Beast My other love, apart from Mrs Beast |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | It only takes something to drop on an open door to bend the hinges out of alignment. We are of course just guessing here. However I would not wait until the service to get it sorted. The longer you wait the more scope they have to say something has been caused by you. Trust me I've been there. Take it back and say you want it sorted sooner rather than later. It is a brand new car after all. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Offline | Door Allignment issue I recently took ownership of my new Mini Cooper D on Tues 29th April 2008. I have noticed the drivers side door, when it is closed, isnt flush with the rear quarter. There is a 2mm gap!! I have purchased numerous new cars from different manufacturers, and never have I seen this before. I wonder how many other build quality issues there are?!! |
