Offline | Engine fan - prob not a fault, just checking I've noticed the engine fan in my new Cooper comes on pretty much whenever I am driving round town. It is probably OK, but was wondering if any other owners have noticed this? It certainly comes on more ofen than my Golf did and if my memory is correct my old ONE. Thanks. Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | Engine fan question... Same question from me - even more apparent now that we've got some warmer weather. I turn the engine off and then the engine fan kicks in for a good 5mins or so. Anyone know the reason why? Obviously tricky to see how hot the engine actually is when there's no temperature guage either... |

Offline | Normal. It's not just the fan, either. There's an electric pump cycling water, too. Cooling the turbo. That sucker gets HOT. Don't stress it. ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. I'm a driving enthusiast... and I still like the R56" |
