Indicators not cancelling

Tonight I put my indicators on to turn left then the indicator just would not cancel...in the end I flashed the hazards then that stopped it.

As you can imagine, I probably looked a right prat to the cars around me and this is now the second time this has happened! Anyone else had this?

I find these new turn signals very annoying during my test drive.

I really like the way they work, I prefer them on "old fashioned" mode than the new 3-flash operation though. Not sure I like the idea of non-cancelling though.

I prefer the new system, and also the stalk is 100 times better quality. No problems with ours as regards self-cancelling.

This problem is back and has happened 3 times in the last couple of weeks - car in today for first service (22k miles done) but I doubt they will find this intermittent issue.

Some cars seem to have the problem and others don't, I had a Dooper for 2 days and it had non cancelling indicators, yet I had a Cooper near enough when the R56 first come out and didn't notice this issue.

I know that the vauxhalls, particularaly vectras used to have major issues with those auto cancel, touch for 3 flash lane change type indicators (2 stage push ones) when they were first fitted (we used to have a nighmare with them at Avis)

Are these the sort of things the R56 has...I have to say I never noticed when I had a go ops:

At least you don't have the over senstive thing were when they wont cancel you tap it the other way and it indicats the opposite side and wont cancel, so those behind think your insane and have no idea where you going

No problems either. I must admit that I do love the way the indicators work though!

Not had any problems with my indicators and although I found them a bit weird at first, I'm completely used to them now and find them neither better nor worse than normal indicators.
