Hello all! I've been lurking for a few weeks and decided upon ordering my Mini earlier today that this is a good time to join and introduce myself.

While test driving the R56 Cooper S my dealer mentioned the Wood Multifunction Wheel is currently unavailable due to "safety issues." Unfortunately he did not have details for me as he received the memo this morning, so I've none to report. Speculations? Anyone have the details?

ON TO THE SPECS...!!!

R56 Cooper S, BRG/B roof & bonnet stripes
16" Sidewinders
Xenons
LSD
Rear Fog Lamps
Check Carbon Black Cloth
Piano Black
Hi-Fi

Wonderful site here and was a VERY helpful resource in picking and specking my mini.

It has to be said that the LSD is a good choise as for the safety issue, I'm not sure taht that

LSD is a great option. Wood wheel being unsafe, not heard that one before, could be a way to stop you waiting for it and ordering now (as you may fear it's unsafe by nature), might be what MINI corporate have told the dealer. Who knows?

Sped sounds good. HiFi is worth is purely as standard Boost is so very bad.

Unofficial information confirms there is a potential safety issue, so it's being reworked, and therefore, delayed.
