Car has only covered 2000 miles since November.

Seat Belt is fraying on drivers side where the buckle bit is.

Fortunately they have plenty in stock

It's those US football shoulder pads you're wearing while driving.

Not good that though.

more than likely caused with all the twisting you have to do to the belt to squeeze it through between the seat and door another good Mini design fault.

Actually the belt positioning on the new car is pretty poor. I used to find ours got caught between the door and the seat. Not good.

Not to worry. The upcoming 2009-10 facelift should address that!
