Offline | The situation with parts for the R56 is beyond a joke There are cars stranded up & down the country waiting far to long for parts. I can understand a small delay on common faulty parts like fuel pumps as they need so many but it seems they are only interested in supplying the factory for building cars - as this is making them money - those waiting with their cars stuck in dealers can just whistle I myself have been waiting for some parts since the middle of November these are just trim pieces which are being used daily on the production line. Come on Mini sort it out I also find it strange most of the parts having to come from Germany - how about a stock in the UK |

Offline | If this is the situation for those of you right there in Europe, imagine what would be like for the rest of the world? If you have a new R56, pray that it doesn't brake down because there are no spare parts for it! '02 Cooper CVT PW/B '05 MCS CR/W |

Offline | I think this situation regarding spare parts for a new model is common to most manufacturers when launching a brand spanking new car. The tyre situation is definitely one I have heard many times before also ... Price one pays for being an early bird and remember it's the 2nd mouse that gets the cheese Nice dry mild weekend on the menu so start driving and enjoying your new MINI's and worry about spare bits & bobs next week when it's wet again ![]() Too many freaks not enough circuses Tell a man that there are 400 billion stars and he'll believe you. Tell him a bench has wet paint and he has to touch it. |

Offline | Interesting. I ordered all wheel arch moldings, rocker panel moldings, front and rear bumper spoilers at the end of February and they were at my dealers a week later. I've had them all prepped and painted chili red so they're ready when the '07 arrives in a couple of weeks. Maybe they decided to ship them all states side. Offline | I've only had my R56 MCS for two weeks and it's already been in the garage for a week......!! It went in after it began sounding like a cheap diesel and chugging when cold...! BMW have said it may be the chain tensioner (what ever that is) and unless they they can get the part off the production line, then it will be a further 4 weeks....... . I mailed the Mini customer services people and their lame excuse was "this is a new car and BMW don't have spare parts as yet"......have you ever heard such rubbish...All in all, I waited 8 weeks for my car, driven it for 2 weeks and probably won't be driving it for another month....... ![]() |
